The objective of the project was to build the second phase of urban integration of the section between Vila do Conde and Póvoa de Varzim, between Rotunda do Rio Ave and roundabout at Portas Fronhas Station, Riverside Zone and Historic Area of Vila do Conde. The urban integration in the Riverside Zone comprised the execution of a new road called "variant" that connected Rua Figueiredo Faria to the Av. Bernardino Machado, passing over the line of the Metro on the bridge over the Ave River. The A1 street will connect the “variante” to the Rotunda do Rio Ave. A new avenue was created that accompanied the Metro channel until the Rotunda de Santa Clara. A new street was created for the re-establishment of Rua do Bairro Alto, as well as the connections to the Variante and Rua A1. The Urban Integration of the Historic Zone, next to Vila do Conde Station, included the renovation of Rua da Lapa, Rua das Mós, Rua Cimo de Vila and the street called Rua do Aqueduto.
