Data Sheet
The construction of Embraer was divided into two factories of similar area, composite structures and metallic structures. The composite structure plant is intended for manufacturing smaller parts made of composite materials, namely the wing triangles on the back of Embraer aircraft. The metal structure factory is where the aircraft wings are to be built. This feature changes the mode of operation of each factories. In the metal factory, because the materials are larger and heavier, they are transported by overhead cranes. This factory has more than 20 travelling bridges.
