The contract consisted in the construction of underground cable duct and the installation of fibre optic cable to interconnect the municipalities of Esposende, Viana do Castelo, Caminha, Ponte de Lima, Ponte da Barca and Arcos de Valdevez, known as the Transport Network or Backbone. Also part of this work was the construction of an access network known as a MAN, interconnecting some municipal points to our POPs. We built 6 POP (point of presence), which is the transmission centre where the active equipment is placed and allows the network to function.
