Construction of a paper mill with a mezzanine and an office area in the industrial zone of Alvarães, Viana do Castelo. Preparatory work was carried out (earthworks, land grading to allow the movement of machines). In terms of foundations, pile foundations were executed - CFA piles, since the area was a landfill site, and therefore the soil was unstable. The superstructure was made of prefabricated concrete, and steel structures were needed only as secondary support for the façades. Three trenches were made, two of which with bored pile walls. The building consists of two sections, being one for offices with a total height lower than the rest of the building. The second part is the mill, an area composed by an open space with a mezzanine. The floors were made of fibre reinforced concrete without joints.
